ATC PHASE 1 & 2 NEARING COMPLETION!
Eastern Valley Electric is proud to share that Aldergrove Town Centre Phase 1 & 2 is officially in the home stretch. Since January 2025, we’ve achieved four successful fire alarm verifications and secured occupancy for two buildings. Buildings 3 and 4 are scheduled to follow suit within the next month.
What makes this milestone especially significant is the complexity of the project. All five buildings are integrated into a shared two-level parkade equipped with a backup generator for life safety systems. This interconnected design demanded a highly sophisticated fire alarm system, requiring full communication between all buildings and parkade zones. Each building is also equipped with its own Central Alarm Control Facility, adding further intricacy to the life safety infrastructure.
The success of this project can be traced back to our proactive pre-construction planning. Early collaboration with consultants, Caliber Projects (the general contractor), and the Township of Langley Fire Department was key. This groundwork laid the foundation for a smooth verification process and contributed to the overall efficiency of the build.
One of the major challenges of this development was that the shared parkade had to be fully functional and commissioned before the first building could be occupied. With over 200,000 square feet of space, more than 40 toxic gas monitors, multiple supply and transfer fans, and a host of other life safety components, this was no small feat.
As we enter the final phase, the remaining scope includes electrical finish install on the 10-storey tower and exterior lighting in common areas. We’re proud of the work completed so far and excited to bring this ambitious and complex project to a successful close.
