CONCRETE CORING: A NEW SERVICE OFFERED BY EASTERN VALLEY ELECTRIC
Eastern Valley Electric (EVE) is excited to announce a new division of our company, concrete coring! We recently purchased a Hilti DD250 paired with a Hilti DD-WMS-100 for water management. We purchased this rig to offer developers and general contractors a convenient option for coring on their jobs.
Though concrete coring is usually not the first choice (although there are cases where it is), when you do need it, it’s instrumental to have a contractor who can offer professional and quick service.
Our coring rig is top-of-the-line and offers developers and general contractors an easy option for their coring needs. The DD-WMS-100 has attachments that suction to walls and floors to help provide service with less mess. The concrete sludge created by the coring process is suctioned through the attachment of the WMS-100, where sludge is filtered out and clean water recirculates to the cutting head. While the filtration system is not perfect, it works to create much less mess than other rigs. We found that with this system pairing, we need less downtime for water maintenance, which provided a more efficient process, allowing us to quote at very competitive price points.
The DD-250 can core holes with a diameter ranging from 2" to 18", and with our bit extension, we can core through a slab or wall up to 30" thick.
