EASTERN VALLEY ELECTRIC’S STORY OF CONSISTENT GROWTH
February 8, 2022

Eastern Valley Electric (EVE) saw its start in 2016. Co-owners Andrew Morgan and Ben Dundass met when they started in the electrical trade more than 15 years ago. Over the years, their careers took them down separate paths until they joined together once again to form Eastern Valley in 2016.

With their extensive experience in the trade, they have built a qualified and solid team by recruiting many past co-workers that they respected and training up other young electricians in the "Eastern Valley Way." Retaining quality individuals on their roster has proven itself to produce measurable results. It has allowed them to grow yearly and continually secure new work with repeat clients, almost exclusively developers.

Eastern Valley started outperforming a diverse set of electrical work, including single-family homes, renovations, small industrial, and multi-family developments. Over time, their wheelhouse has become almost entirely multi-family developments, specifically apartments. Their expertise in this area allows them to price and perform the work efficiently, always satisfying their growing portfolio of repeat clients.

Eastern Valley has completed seven multi-family developments to date for a total of 647 apartment units, 26 townhomes paired with several smaller projects along the way. Notable smaller builds include a 9,000 sq. ft custom home, a mixed-use project with three CRU areas and five high-end apartments.

Currently, their project load is 265 condo units and a custom home in Whistler. 2021 was the busiest year yet for EVE, with the completion of almost 200 units.

EVE has always prided itself on holding quality of work and customer satisfaction in the highest regard. In 2021 EVE was awarded #1 Electrical Contractor in the "Chilliwack Progress A-List" public vote. In Fall 2021, EVE was awarded the gold award for electrical contractors in a larger "Community Votes Chilliwack" competition."

EVE's future growth plan is to consistently increase its portfolio of satisfied repeat developers while building into employees to create a growing and engaged team to tackle these projects. Future expansion areas include offering maintenance contracts to developers and improving relationships with FLO and Mircom, all with the end focus of further satisfying their multi-family clients.
