Genesis Project
We are proud to announce an upcoming project for the Eastern Valley Electric portfolio, “Genesis”. This project is a 144 unit, 6 storey, 2 level parkade building located in the centre of Langley City. It contains two commercial units on the street level. Excavation is already underway and we are excited to be the electrical contractor chosen for this build.
A 2 level parkade always presents more complexities than a 1 level. This project is no exception. New Langley City regulations require developers to install in-slab conduit and wiring for future electric vehicle charging to 20% of all parking stalls. This is in addition to the typical in-slab conduit to all parking stalls. This requires us to allow electrical load for 100% of the stalls in our electrical service design. All that to say, it makes this parkade a larger undertaking than any previous project!
This project looks excellent and we are very excited to be a part of its successful construction. “Genesis” is scheduled to complete fall 2022.
